About Me

I have been an avid gardener since childhood. I have been working in the nursery and landscaping industry since 1974. I started my own design firm in 1989. I love creating beautiful outdoor spaces anywhere I have the opportunity. I feel very lucky that my hobby is also my profession.

I am a graduate of UC Davis.
I earned my Advanced Certification with California Association of Nurserymen in 1981.
I am also a member of the California Native Plant Society where I am kept abreast of the latest ideas about how best to preserve our native species.
I have had the opportunity to travel and study garden practices and design in England, Japan, Italy and Israel.
I enjoy attending conferences, seminars, classes and garden tours where I receive fresh inspiration and new ideas to try.
I am a long time member of the community. I have donated my design services to a number of local nonprofit groups and governmental agencies.

I love what I do. I am continually experimenting with my own garden, trying new plants, new plant combinations, and new design ideas. Lately, I am enjoying spending more time expanding my garden’s vegetable and fruit production and because of that I am striving to make my ornamental beds more water conserving and carefree.

I will combine your desires with my creativity, experience and abilities to transform your space into a unique personalized environment, one you can be truly happy with.

I do very little advertising and get nearly all my work through referrals.
